This market resolves YES if, by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET, President Trump issues an official executive order, proclamation, or formal directive that renames artificial intelligence as a field, technology, or major U.S. government AI program or initiative to a new name distinct from 'artificial intelligence' or 'AI'. The renaming must be formally adopted by the executive branch and publicly announced via official White House channels (press release, executive order text, or formal statement from the President or designated White House spokesperson). Mere proposals, suggestions, or informal comments by Trump or staff do not qualify. A renaming of a specific private company's AI product or service does not qualify unless it is a formal U.S. government directive affecting federal AI policy or nomenclature. The primary resolution source is the White House official website (whitehouse.gov), executive order database, or formal White House press statements. Credible reporting from major news outlets (Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal) confirming the official renaming may also be used.
